Would you be interested in a group proxy series to bring coherence to your online self? In my web coaching services I help individuals of a particular era [mine
] to find their way online with their own blog and or other platforms. The idea is to be able to have an online presence to support your business without having to be dependant on a web service for regular basic updates.
In the last 2 years of providing this service I have noticed many common patterns we all have in adopting a life online. Some of these are based in blocks that occur in the transition from the analog system to a digital one, a learning style that has not been updated for being online, or a lack of orientation to life online. The most challenging patterns relate to our sense of self, self-esteem and aversion to being public. Some folks are completely unaware of their online presence and the problems they may be creating where as the polar opposites may avoid or refuse to go online altogether.
Our online skills today are the same as the defining marks of a literate person 100 years ago. We need to be able to navigate our way around to enjoy the benefits of that literacy.
I am not exactly sure how wide spread this is but thought I would ask… Is this topic you would like to see addressed in a group proxy series? Would you sign up for this or know someone who would? I am thinking of a series that would help those who are self-employed or have a small business or extend this to anyone participating in an online life. Your feedback is appreciated.
