The “Go Back To School” Pattern and a few ideas…
Energetically, I find the month of September is loaded with patterns related to our school experiences that are ripe for transformation. For many, early school experiences form war horse stories that range in genre from comedy to tragedy. Even if the story was funny, we may still be silently crying on the inside. In our early years we form attachments with our teachers that are some of the first relationships we have with adults outside of our family. We want or crave their approval, attention, support and
encouragement. Did we try our best? Was our best good enough? Do our grades meet expectations? If we had the resources that our best friend had would we have done better? As you contemplate the necessity of another pack of crayons, or look fondly at a passing school bus, these are some of the patterns that may be simmering under the surface during the month of September.
If this topic speaks to you, take advantage of the numerous opportunities for self growth and improvement. Here are a few ideas….
1. Obviously – get repatterned! Change the hologram of your past experiences with school, and let your school age self resonate with a session today benefiting you in the past when you needed it most. That energy will then ricochet forward in time so that the month of September, your ability to return to a state of successful learning, and all the related relationships involved – improve. Try a one to one holographic coaching session or the Retro-intending MMPMP series of online sessions to work through the patterns via the chakras.
2. Go back to School – Have you heard of Coursera.org? It is a FREE…. YES FREE!!!!!!! World Wide Online university with free online courses that come with quizzes, assignments and exams. A certificate celebrates your successful completion. The courses are offered by well known universities everywhere and more are being added each month. Their interface is very easy and provides a much better experience for advanced learning than I can remember.
I have no idea how I will balance the 5 courses I have signed up for (quilting projects may suffer here) but i am already enjoying the one on Models of Thinking. The program
is found at www.Coursera.org.
3. Take a look at your local library. They have proliferated with learning programs. If your online skills have been lacking, or your kids gave you a contraption for reading books
without paper and you’ve yet to figure it out… go visit the library. You will find in the new generation of librarians a very helpful nature that has kept up with the tech world and
has your pattern down pat! They are dedicated to you learning to find the information and they would be delighted if you asked for their help.
As you explore any or all of these options, be aware of the old patterns you may be clinging to that want to be released in terms of learning or your school experiences. Allow
yourself to experience learning in a more supported and nurturing way. And go ahead,… buy a backpack, lunch box or the pack of crayons you always wanted!
Enjoy your trip back to school.
With love and light,
Carolyn
