When it comes to money does your mind focus on bright optimistic possibilities or repetitive negative thoughts? Much of our thinking is driven by our beliefs, values and experiences and tends to become a habit. It’s not hard to do as once we’ve practiced a recurring thought for 21 consecutive days or more it becomes an engrained habit. While habits are a great way to save time doing routine things if our thought habits are non-coherent or negative it will only contribute the daily challenges we already experience in life.
The practice of noticing what and how we are thinking in itself is a habit to be cultivated. It is really only in the post modern era that taking time to think about yourself, your life and especially how you think, has appeared as a way to improve life. Previously, this type of activity belonged to the academics and mystics of the day. Perhaps your family or friends would think you weird to do so. However, there can be a tremendous payoff for acquiring a habit of watching the mind.
Negative thought habits are the result of past experiences that have not been resolved, forgiven and healed. In the money example, a past loss may route itself in your thoughts as the belief “I will never have money”, ” I can’t…”,” Money leads to bad things happening.” etc. They remain as an energy pattern of protection to avoid painful experiences. The protection of course is a false one as we continue to live the original fear, anxiety, depression etc. – the non coherent pattern compounds itself over the years.
To clear up our thinking first requires our deeper awareness of what the pattern is about. That’s where a repatterning session can be helpful by bringing patterns to the surface related to any problem you are experiencing. A connect the dot experience often occurs when a repatterning reveals related beliefs, qualities, or thoughts that are under the radar of our experiences. Reflecting on the new positive patterns that emerge in a session and practicing those patterns in our thoughts can then help to lead to a new more positive set of experiences.
When you think about money what are the patterns of thought that show up in your mind? How do your thoughts then manifest in your reality?
If you would like to explore your personal patterns deeper join me in the series or tonight’s session for Money Happens! In today’s session we’ll focus specifically on positive and negative thought patterns related to money.
