UPDATE: – finished the leaves and stems
Sent from my BlackBerry 10 smartphone on the Fido network. I found this quilt pattern for a wall hanging ages ago, and loved it from the first time I saw the pattern online. It reminds me of the Baltimore Oriole birds of my childhood that appeared when the mulberry tree had fruit to surrender. It was always a treatt to see these colorful birds flitting in out of the tree. I have finally found the space, inspiration and fabric to get the project started. It is a work in progress.
What does quilting have to do with repatterning? LOTS! Not specifically quilting, however, when we indulge or creative self-expression we are exercising different parts of the brain and giving it an aerobic work out. New neural pathways are built that are nourished by the frequencies of a quilt projects colors, textures, balance and design. The inner order of a quilt is not lost on our brain… it makes it stronger. Of course, the Creative Self-Expression repatterning i have done for myself over the years has helped to remove the blocks and allow me to ‘play’ with this craft. I share it with you! – Carolyn
