Build Your Energy Reserves – Appreciate Good Things that Happened for You

HPIM0917Energize Focus for the Week:  “Appreciate 3 good things that happened for you today”  Energetically, we are in the season of appreciation. In the 5 Element and meridian system of energy on which acupuncture is based, Metal element is associated with the season of autumn, and the quality of appreciation. To be in synch with the energy cycles of nature puts our own system in energetic order and while there may be thousands of things we can do, I find the simplest is just the straightforward act of appreciation and /or gratitude.

A principle from quantum physics is closely linked with this spiritual quality – all probabilities are equally probably. What manifests is what we focus on. Appreciation does that in subtle ways that can build over time if we make it a habit. Appreciating traffic going well – notice how it always flows well for you. Appreciating your family for pitching in and getting the chores done – notice how often it starts getting done with asking. Praising your child for their completed homework and lovingly asking what they will work on next -notice how homework becomes the first thing they want to do. (Works in the workplace as well!) The choice to appreciate something over time activates a secondary quality of the Metal Element cycle – that of building a reserve of energy. If we want reserves of health, money, vitality, energy, good humor etc. – this is the season to start filling the tank.
This week fill your energy tank by selecting 2-3 areas of your life where you will appreciate outcomes regularily.

Do some of the recommended positive actions now posted at the Energize program web. See if it helps you establish a pattern of appreciation. http://lighttravels.org/energize/actions.asp . Appreciating 3 good things that happens for you may be easier to do than you think as you have been repatterned with the mini repatterning called ENERGIZE!
